Improved snow response in Davenport starting today
Snow removal measures should be visible in Davenport starting immediately. I expect to see problems fixed after the substandard service we have received this week, compared to the rest of the city.
Snow response in Davenport was disastrous in 2025. This year there have been some improvements, but it is still not meeting the city-wide service standard.
Thank you for your messages to my office, and for the more than 500 calls to 311 for service that you have made.
All week I have visited areas of concern across Davenport and have advocated at City Hall to get the service we deserve. I want to thank Mayor Chow for her support and for coming to join me in Davenport yesterday to witness the snow conditions herself.
Davenport is unlike any other ward. We have among the narrowest sidewalks and the narrowest streets in Toronto. Snow plowing alone is just not enough. We also need active snow removal.
Snow removal is a first step to providing quality service in our ward. I will continue to demand answers about the terms of the snow clearing contract and to secure better for Davenport.
