Open House: Fairbank Silverthorn Storm Trunk Sewer System
Since 2021, the City of Toronto has been doing work in your neighbourhood to help protect against basement flooding through the installation of new local storm sewers, a new large storm trunk sewer, and other stormwater management systems. When construction is complete, the new infrastructure will help to reduce sewer backups and basement flooding for more than 4,645 homes and provide flood protection to a 140-hectare area.
I’ve heard from members of our community who have questions about this project, the local impacts of construction, and the project’s timeline. On June 4, I’ll be hosting an open house for residents to learn more about the project, with City staff available onsite to answer questions.
This will be an opportunity to connect directly with City staff who are responsible for the management of this project, raise questions or concerns about the project, and to share ideas about how impacts on the local community can be managed.
If you are unable to attend, you can send questions or comments to my office by email ([email protected]) or by calling 416-392-7012.
